If you ask me, art, in general, is a lifestyle. It is the choice one makes to broaden creative commons and to freely make art in their own way. The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego gives contemporary artists a home for their works. It is solely funded by museum members and holds a mission to increase art awareness and give artists the means they need and deserve to have their works displayed and recognized. Some are local, some are not. I have been to both locations, Downtown and La Jolla, and found both to be absolutely phenomenal.

Another perk to visiting MCASD, besides being witness to magnificent work, if that admission is free if you are under 25 years old.
I find it to be the perfect escape from a hectic day as the perfect source of inspiration.
One of the exhibitions I am most excited to see is Jennifer Steinkamp's Madame Currie. This woman is a master at what she does. She's awesome at digital images and videos. My favorite thing about her work is the recurring theme of nature. Steinkamp does an impeccable job of capturing it's beauty and turning it into her own art.
